कुंडली मिलान — Kundli Matching for Marriage

What is Kundli Matching?
Kundli Matching (कुंडली मिलान), also known as Gun Milan or Horoscope Matching, is the Vedic process of comparing two birth charts to assess marital compatibility. The system evaluates 8 key dimensions (Ashtakoot) across 36 total Gunas (qualities). A score of 18+ out of 36 is generally considered compatible for marriage.
The 8 Ashtakoot dimensions are: Varna (1), Vashya (2), Tara (3), Yoni (4), Maitri (5), Gana (6), Bhakut (7), and Nadi (8). Of these, Nadi carries the highest weight (8 Gunas) and a Nadi Dosha (when both partners share the same Nadi) is considered a serious incompatibility requiring remedial measures.
Generate Kundlis for Matching
The first step is generating accurate Janam Kundlis for both the bride and groom. Use our Free Kundli Generator to create each chart with exact Rashi, Nakshatra, and planetary positions.
Both charts need accurate birth times — even a small error can change the Nakshatra and significantly affect the Guna score.
